History

Grandma's Cottage was Muskego's first general store dating back to the 1850's.  In the 1920's the Peters family bought and carried the entire building by wagon to their dairy farm on the edge of town.  Don't miss the chance to experience this unique historical site!

The spacious bathroom includes a double sink, individual mirrors, a large whirlpool tub, a walk-in shower and separate toilet area.


Grandma's Cottage includes a kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker for your personal use. Make a small snack or prepare lunch or dinner on the ample counter space.

Our home-style breakfasts offer a typical continental fare such as the following: fruit, muffins, donuts, scones, quick breads, coffee cake, with jellies and butter. Want to sleep in? Let us know you'd prefer our brunch selection: yogurt, Wisconsin cheeses, summer sausage, and artisan breads. Let us know your preference prior to your arrival, and we will customize your menu to your taste and dietary needs.





Planning a picnic?  Let us know 48 hours in advance and we will have a picnic basket prepared for you for a small fee.  Planning something even bigger?  Tell us ahead of time, and we will make your special occasion unforgettable!  We'll even book your reservations at one of Muskego's fine dining establishments.



Enjoy a romantic evening in front of a roaring fire in the natural wood fireplace or outside next to a bonfire overlooking the DNR conservancy.

 
We will start the fire for you if you wish or help yourself to the wood provided.





Your stay will also include access to the second-story recreational room, converted from an old granary. This rustic haven boasts a pool table, ping pong table, darts, sound system and TV.  Perfect for hosting a small gathering.


Visit any of a number of animals on our little hobby farm: alpacas, horses, ducks, chickens, cats, dogs.  The Alpacas are the latest addition to our family.
